eCargo bikes for businesses

Shifting Gears

Delivering with Ease

Thanks to funding from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund, the Shrewsbury Big Town Plan (SBTP) partnership is offering six Shrewsbury businesses or not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to hire an eCargo bike at a heavily subsidised rate of just £30 per month. This cost includes hire of a top of the range brand new eCargo bike along with lights, and a helmet, and will be for an initial hire period of 12 months.

We have partnered with local cycle shops Trek and Dave Mellor Cycles to make six eCargo bikes available (three different types/sizes) to help local businesses reduce their costs and carbon footprint, as well as helping to reduce the number of delivery vehicles in the town centre.

How do I apply?

If you run a business or organisation within the town, and transport goods or equipment to and from the town centre on a regular basis, and would consider using an eCargo bike to make these journeys, you are eligible to apply.

To apply for a Shrewsbury Moves eCargo Bike, click the APPLY NOW button below and fill out the application form – it only takes a few minutes. You must be a Business Owner or Manager to apply.

We do not require you to commit to a contract at this stage. We will assess your application based on the information that you provide and will advise you if you have been successful or if we require any further information.

Please do not apply if you already use or have regular access to an eCargo bike.

Applications for the first round close on the 15th June 2025.
