FAQs

The eBike subscription scheme is run by Shrewsbury Moves and administered by Shrewsbury BID. Our delivery partner is Hurrecane, who will shortly be rebranding as Deliver-E.

How do I get involved?

You can sign up for a Shrewsbury Moves eBike using this online form. Once you have filled in your details, they will be passed to the Hurrecane team and they will get in touch with you to set up your subscription and arrange delivery of your bike.

Who should I contact if I have a problem?

For any issues with your bike or your subscription, please contact Hurrecane directly in the first instance. They handle day-to-day delivery of the scheme and will advise you on next steps. You can chat to Hurrecane on WhatsApp here.

Am I covered if my bike is stolen?

Yes — your bike is covered for theft, provided you use the approved lock supplied by Hurrecane. We also strongly recommend storing your bike indoors wherever possible to reduce risk.

What happens if there’s a fault with my bike?

What damage isn’t covered?

Mechanical faults and defects are covered. Contact Hurrecane directly and they’ll work to resolve the issue, this may involve directing you to their partner workshop, Velo Fit.

Am I covered if I injure someone while riding?

Punctures and damage caused by the rider, such as hitting kerbs or potholes, are not included in your subscription. These are considered rider-at-fault incidents.

Is there a way to cover punctures and accidental damage?

Hurrecane are introducing a damage waiver for £6 per month. This optional add-on covers all accidental damage, including punctures. Please contact Hurrecane if you would like to add this to your subscription.

Public liability insurance, which covers you in the event of injuring a third party, such as a pedestrian, is not included in your subscription. We recommend checking your home insurance policy, as this type of cover is sometimes already included. If not, it’s worth taking out a standalone public liability policy.

Can I let someone else use my bike?

How do I cancel my subscription?

No — subscriptions are personal and non-transferable. Bikes cannot be sub-hired or made available for others to use. Your subscription covers you and you alone.

You are committed for the first year but can cancel any time after your first 12-months with 30 days’ notice. Charges will continue until Hurrecane have collected the bike from you, so please ensure collection is arranged promptly to avoid additional billing.
